Suhum Abattoir to Be Renovated

The constituency chairman, Hon. Frederick Ofosu in the company of Hon. Frederick Opare-Ansah(Suhum MP) and Hon. Margaret Darko Darkwa( Suhum MCE) paid Suhum Abattoir a visit.

The visit was scheduled under a programme called “connect” which is designed by the Suhum NPP constituency executives to get in touch with communities, institutions and party members to find out about their challenges, interact with them on government policies and how to ironed their problems.

The team met the chief butcher and other stakeholders like the veterinary officer, the environmental officer and others during the said visit.

After taking us around the place we realized that the place since its inception hasn’t been renovated. The drainage system is in a poor state and water is a huge challenge confronting them.

The MP and MCE assured them that the place will be renovated soon to meet the standards of Abattoir so as to create employment to the Youth. They promised to dug a mechanized borehole to curb their water problem soon.

Since majority of the constituents eat meat, the MCE and MP with the Chairman advised them on hygiene so that the meat won’t be contaminated.

Alhaji Abubakar Meguna the chief butcher thanks the MP, MCE and their entourage for such a visit and encouraged them to continue their good works for the municipality.

The team got the opportunity to interact with the market women to find out the state of businesses under the current government, it was a surprise visit and they were amazed.
